Privacy policy

In short

Comparr is a product comparison service. You do not need to create an account and we never ask for your identity to browse the site. We measure traffic, we know which offers are clicked, and that is about it. We do not sell data.

Data controller

Data collected and purposes

1. Audience measurement

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are viewed and how the site is used. We process: page views, traffic source (search engine, AI assistant, direct link), device and browser type, and a measurement identifier stored in a cookie.

• Legal basis : legitimate interest in measuring and improving the service.
• Recipient : Google LLC.
• Retention : up to 14 months.

2. Clicks on retailer offers

When you click "View offer", we record the event to understand which offers interest visitors and to detect automated traffic. We process: the offer clicked, the date, country and region inferred from the IP address, the referring page and the browser user-agent.

• The IP address is not stored in plain text: it is used only to infer approximate location (country / region), then discarded.
• Legal basis : legitimate interest (activity measurement, click-fraud prevention).
• Retention : 25 months.

3. Feedback form and product suggestions

If you write to us via the "Help us improve" widget or suggest a product, we keep your message, the page concerned and — only if you provide it, this is optional — your email address, to reply to you. Your IP address is kept temporarily to limit spam.

• Legal basis : your consent (voluntary form submission).
• Retention : 24 months, or until you request deletion.

4. Searches

Queries entered in the search bar are saved and become public comparison pages. They are not linked to any visitor: do not enter personal information.

Cookies

You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser settings, and enable the Do Not Track signal. The site remains fully usable without them.

Affiliate links

Some retailer links are affiliate links (including Amazon Associates): if you buy, we earn a commission, at no extra cost to you and with no effect on our rankings. These links add a tracking identifier so the retailer can attribute the sale to Comparr. Once on the retailer's site, their own privacy policy applies.

Sub-processors and hosting

The site is hosted by Railway Corp. (United States). We use technical providers for product analysis and price collection (Google Gemini, price aggregation services): no personal data is sent to them — only product names and queries. Cross-border transfers are governed by standard contractual clauses where applicable.

Your rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection and portability. Email hello@comparr.fr: we respond within 30 days. California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA.
